Shadoems – A Shared Reading of New Poems

from $0.00

🗓️ Date: Saturday, May 10
🕖 Time: 6:00 - 7:00 PM
📍 Location: Zoom

Poems can help us navigate difficult times.

That's as true for the poet and artist as it is for the reader. Join this shared reading of poems from Sam Rahberg's new collection Shadoems: Shadow Work through Poems.

This special reading features opening selections by the poet himself, offering context about the contemplative journey into themes of uncertainty and welcoming the more shadowed dimensions of our lives. It also includes perspectives from the artist Natalie Adebiyi, who created the stunning charcoal drawings within the same collection.

From there, special guests and audience members will have the chance to share any poem from the collection that resonate with them—lines that are helping them honor and navigate the complexities of our time.

Haven’t read them yet? Bashful about sharing? No worries.

Whether you come to listen, reflect, or read aloud, this gathering invites you to engage poetry as a tool for inner work, courage, and transformation.

All are welcome to this immersive literary experience where words become a mirror for our collective and personal journeys.

The reading is free. You are also welcome to purchase a copy of the collection as you register. We’re also exploring options for prints for those who might be interested.
